Ingredients:
- 1 cup yellow dried peas
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (one small onion)
- 1 cup corn niblets
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped ham
- 2 cups milk
- salt and pepper
Instructions:
- In a large pot, combine peas and broth.
- Boil for 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let stand for 1 hour covered.
- Add ham and vegetables.
- Bring to boil.
- Reduce heat, simmer covered until peas are tender (40-60 min)
- Stir in milk
